        GAUL'S SUMMER CAMP

           Our Summer Camp is open five days a week, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 A.M. until 6:00 P.M.  It is divided into two sessions. Attendance is flexible and can be tailored to meet most parent's requirements.

    Summer Camp is a relaxed, fun time where each week has an overall theme. The days have age appropriate activities, reflecting the weekly theme, to engage young minds and bodies. It is an opportunity to develop new friendships and skills.

    Monday through Friday, all summer long – it’s always something different at Gaul’s!

  Each day explores some aspect of a weekly theme, usually involving a craft activity. Weather permitting we spend as much time out of doors as possible.

                FIRST SESSION
                  June 28 - July 30

WEEK 1     BORN IN THE USA – The USA is about to turn 234 years old!
                      Wear your red, white and blue and join us as we create patriotic
                       projects and learn about our country.

WEEK 2     DON’T STEP ON MY BLUE SUEDE SHOES – A show of hands,

             please – what makes a “pair”?! We’ll clap, tap and stomp to

                       our own special beat this week!

WEEK 3        MOCKINGBIRD – Ahh-h- there’s nothing like the sights and sounds
                      of summertime – blinking fireflies, buzzing bees and ribbiting frogs!
                      We’ll talk about them all and make some, too!

WEEK 4    WILD THING – Do we get a little wild now and then? Sure we do! 

            But not like our jungle friends do.  Let’s yell like Tarzan and

            swing through the trees to find a lion, gorilla or elephant!

WEEK 5    SURFIN’ USA – Let’s go down the shore (with our imaginations of
                     course!) and smell the salt air, collect some seashells and dig in the
                     sand!  We’ll even make our own sailboat on cooking day!

                                          SECOND SESSION
                August 2 - September 3

WEEK 6     GOOD VIBRATIONS – What’s your favorite part of summer? hot
                      days by the pool? ice cream at the custard stand? ball games? going
                      on vacation?  We’ll talk about what gives each of us a summertime smile!

WEEK 7     WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS – It doesn’t matter what you do, just get
                       up and do! Running, jumping, skipping, hopping – we’re all winners  when 
                       we keep our bodies fit and strong!

WEEK 8     YOU AIN’T NOTHING BUT A HOUND DOG – No matter which pet

             is your favorite they all need special care and LOVE!  We’ll talk

                       about our animal friends and create a few ourselves!  It’s

                       tail-waggin’ good fun!

WEEK 9     YELLOW SUBMARINE – “We all live in a yellow submarine”(!??) 
                      Well, no we don’t – but we can still take a trip deep down in the
                      ocean and find out what lives there.  Watch out for the shark!

WEEK 10   ROCK AROUND THE CLOCK – Time has a way of ticking by fast –                     especially when we are having fun.  We will say good-bye to
                     summer this week, and talk about all the wonderful adventures
                     we will have in the new school year!

      Our playground has additional stations set up each morning for outdoor play. And when the afternoon heat begins, in we go for a cool-down quiet time with a movie. Good old-fashioned summer fun is the name of the game at Gaul’s Day Camp!
